RankAPP account and data deletion

This page explains how to delete a RankAPP account and the associated data from inside the app.

For security reasons, account deletion is available only in the RankAPP app. This is the only method currently available to verify that the request comes from the account holder.

1. Deletion only from inside the app

A RankAPP account deletion must be confirmed in the app, from a session connected to the account concerned.

Before deleting the account, RankAPP asks for the account password. This step helps prevent someone with temporary access to the phone from deleting the account without authorization.

A request sent by email does not replace this in-app confirmation.

2. How to delete your account

  • Open the RankAPP app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  • Go to the My Account tab.
  • Tap Delete my account.
  • Read the confirmation message: it is specifically about deleting your RankAPP account.
  • Enter the account password, then confirm the account deletion.

3. If the process does not work

If a bug or technical issue prevents you from using the in-app process, contact RankAPP at rankapp.studio@gmail.com and describe the issue.

Support can help you resolve the blockage or regain access to the secure in-app process. To protect accounts, email is for support only and is not the normal account deletion method.

4. Data deleted

Account deletion targets the data directly associated with your account, including the profile, account identifiers, published content, messages, media, preferences, activity data, location data linked to the account and technical data attached to the account when its retention is no longer necessary.

Some content shared with other users may be removed, anonymized or separated from the account when necessary to preserve the consistency of conversations, competitions, events, orders or reports.

5. Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained for longer when required by law or when necessary for security, fraud prevention, payments, accounting, refunds, disputes, reports, enforcement of the terms of use or user protection.

Technical backups may temporarily retain deleted data before automatic deletion according to our backup cycles.

6. Processing time

After confirmation in the app, your RankAPP account is deleted and your profile is no longer accessible in the app.

Some technical operations may require propagation time, including backups, logs, security processing or payment systems when temporary retention is necessary.
